Great Entertainment
I know there are mixed feelings about this movie but I absolutely love it. I first saw it in the theater and liked it so much that I had to own it. I have watched it several times since. I really enjoyed the Directors Cut version too! This is included in the Special Features section. I though the actors ALL did a wonderful job. Dwayne Johnson ROCKS! Pun intended. This was a great family entertainment movie with minimal expletives. Let's be realistic for a moment. A disaster movie just wouldn't seem intense without a few expletives thrown in during the extremely hair-raising moments. The special effects were awesome! Very well done. I highly recommend it.

Epic Adventure, solid acting
Great acting from the Rock and everyone else, very realistic special effects, and high pulse action. Right up there among the best ever made. As a geologist, it is really Portland, Seattle, and Vancouver, rather than LA to San Francisco, that are due for that type of destruction. It is great fun, also from the aviation perspective, and sea for a while. Tears you up emotionally, then builds you back up. Rock's 'daughter' is not as convincing, only because she is really "built well" for a teenager. Dwayne Johnson, the Rock, would turn out to be a great actor, and make more than anyone else in 2015. Like Gable, the Duke, Flynn....the number one actor of Hollywood. Incredible everything with this movie!

Great Story
This movie as about the well known fault line of San Andreas and what would happen if she let go. In the movie, of course, it does. As the scientists are just figuring out they can predict an earth quake, it hits. In the mean time, The Rock is a helicopter rescue pilot and Dad who's wife left him and the daughter is with the wife. The daughter is goes away with the future step-dad on business when the second quake hits and the father & mother must get together to rescue the daughter. The movie is a triumph of moving past problems and working together in a tough circumstance. It's entertaining and the destruction looks so very real that you'll have to remind yourself it's just a movie and a LOT of computer programming I suspect. I liked this movie, well to a FAULT you might say. It was one of the better action dramas of 2015 and I'd suggest you give it a watch if you like the genre.

Are we ever really prepared?
This movie is great with great special effect. It makes you think what will happen when the "big one" does hit. So are we really ever prepared for a mega quake? It is worth the price of the Blu-ray just for entertainment alone and Dwayne Johnson does it justice too.

Great movie!
I admit it-I love disaster movies, especially with spectacular special effects. This movie delivers some of the best. The acting is excellent but the effects! If there's a movie I want I always buy it on eBay

San Andreas (Blu-ray/DVD, 2015)
There are some movies I watch for critical acclaim ... and there are some movies that I watch for pure fun and entertainment. San Andreas is obviously the latter and my entire family simply loved it. Like all action movies, you have to suspend some belief and avoid taking it too seriously. However, within the realm of disbelief, San Andreas stays believable and you find yourself pulling for the characters to make it .. which isn't as obvious as you might think. Special effects are downright spectacular while avoiding going over the top. If you're looking for a night of fun at the movies with friends or family this movie is a fun thrill ride.

CONSTANT ACTION!!! It way exceeded my expectations! The whole movie is fabulous! I HIGHLY recommend this one!

Bring this theater experience home
I had checked this movie out of my local library, and really enjoyed it. The action, CGI effects, the color saturation,the resolution were terrific.The acting was entertaining, and the story line was not all that ludacris if not maybe a bit overdone. The engagement of the sound was five stars for me! I am an audio/video enthusiast, and have recently expanded my A/V system to include Dolby Atmos.I would state that this Blu-ray version of this movie is reference quality! Add to that the great value of the purchase and you have a great Home Theater experience. Treat yourself to this, you won't be sorry !

non-stop action
This movie starts with "nail biting action" right away with a death defying car accident. and never stops. Dwayne Johnson is the perfect actor for the leading role. The actions seame realistic and possible.
