Great dog toy
I bought this toy for my Service Dog, MacTaggart (thank you Santa Paws!). First, when I opened the box I was impressed with the packaging. Who bothers to pad a soft toy so it doesn't get crushed in the box??!? They did. As the box was opened, I had to wrestle with MacTaggart to hang onto it long enough to remove the manufacturers tags. This is a soft fiber toy that includes a clever hollow log with peek holes and 3 small squirrels that squeak. MacTaggart didn't seem overly impressed with the little squirrels but hoo boy he LOVES that log! In fairness, MacTaggart is a well loved little boy and he has 2 largeish toy baskets filled to overflowing, 1 each in the bedroom and living room and yes, he has other toy squirrels along with skunks, hedgehogs, mousies, along with penguins, ... MacTaggart is a Mountain Fiest, a uniquely intelligent breed with a proven problem solving ability. He will learn to play with the squirrels. Or the already beloved soft mousies he already has. I will rate this 5 stars and highly recommend it. The quality is outstanding, much nicer than the usual suspects at the doggie store. Well done and kudos to both the vendor and the manufacturer. Great toy for little dogs
I have purchased three of these as gifts for dogs of family and friends. They were a HUGE hit with all of the dogs AND their guardians! As a matter of fact, I'm not sure who enjoyed the toy the most, the dogs or the people. :) Most little dogs like toys they can shake and dig at and this toy satisfies both needs. The toy has proven to be pretty durable and everyone is still playing with them after 2 years. (One has even survived a pug.) Now I need to buy the next size up for my sister's beagle. I would absolutely recommend this toy.I have purchased three of these as gifts for dogs of family and friends. They were a HUGE hit with all of the dogs AND their guardians! Exciting toy for a day
My Papillon, Contessa, really liked the toy for the first day as long as I held on to the stump part of the toy she would pull the squirrels out of the stump. If I put the stump down she had trouble holding the stump at the right angle and quickly lost interest. She also ate (swallowed) the ears and top knot off a couple of the squirrels before I realized what she was doing. I even ordered the replacement squirrels at the same time but have put them all away because now she only seems to be interested in eating the ears. The squirrels are very well made and sturdy, Contessa has a hard time biting hard enough to make the toy squeak, perhaps that's why she'd rather eat them than play with them. Maybe a larger breed would enjoy the toy more. Also, if your dog does not have a problem with ... Lots of fun
This toy is adorable and fun! I rescued a senior Lhasa. He's very smart and needed something to occupy him. He loves to pull out the squirrels and even plays with the tree stump. But my Rags has no teeth to speak of. If he did, I bet the squirrels would be torn apart by now. Bearing that in mind, this toy will be perfect for a doggie who doesn't pull the tails off his or her toys or work at them until they're destroyed. I also have a little Peke. He is blind but loves his toys. Pip has fun stealing the squirrels from Rags. But again, Pip is gentle with his toys.This toy is adorable and fun! I rescued a senior Lhasa. Outward Hound Hide A Squirrel
What dog doesn't hate squirrels ? What dog doesn't love stuffies that squeak ? What dog doesn't adore a challenge?None in my world. This is the toy that rocks for dogs ! It has all 3 treats included in one toy. You can also hide treats inside the tree part and they love getting them out.
