    The book was exactly as described and arrived quickly. The only problem is a recurring one with this seller and other similar sellers - the book is poorly packaged in a plastic envelope and gets heavily bumped in shipping. I would like to see the books wrapped before shipment, but I understand this can't be done for cost reason. Luckily it isn't an expensive book, and I will continue to purchase basic books from this seller. A+++++

    A must have for the serious gardener

    The Sunset New Western Garden Book is wonderful source of information for home gardeners and for Master Gardeners who find it useful as a reference book. The wide variety of plants surveyed in this book is helpful to Gardeners in California, Hawaii and all warm climates. The color photo galleries are a tremendous help with plant identification. The book covers the range of environments that gardeners encounter, from rainforests to deserts.

    Must have book for anyone who gardens in the West

    Beautiful and very informative book about plants. It has great descriptions, real pictures (my last Sunset book had sketches), and lots of information about good bugs, bad bugs, and critters that can be a problem. This is my 3rd Sunset over the years, but probably won't be my last.

    The New Sunset Western Garden Book

    It is so much better than and older version I had. All the plants are shown in color. More useful information is given and it is directly above the listing. Any particular needs one might have for such as drought tolerant plants are shown, again with colored pictures, in articles on a category. The book is beautifully illustrated and of such interest, it makes for good reading besides being ever so useful.
