This Doctor Who: The Complete Fifth Series six-disc set is a collection of every episode of the BBC sci-fi hit in the fifth season. The series begins after the regeneration of the Eleventh Doctor when he discovers the TARDIS is about to crash. After the fall, the Doctor meets with Amy Pond and the two work together in an attempt to derail an alien plot to destroy Planet Earth. Directed by Adam Smith, Andrew Gunn, Jonny Campell, and Catherine Morshead, Doctor Who: The Complete Fifth Series was written by Steven Moffat and aired on the BBC network. This sci-fi show features an outstanding cast, some of which includes Matt Smith as the Eleventh Doctor, Karen Gillan as Amy Pond, and Arthur Darvill as Rory Williams. The six-disc set of Doctor Who: The Complete Fifth Series has an approximate runtime of about nine hours and is compatible with Region 1 players. The special features include Doctor Who: Confidentials, outtakes, video diaries, commentaries, and deleted and extended scenes from the production of the season.

    Excellent acting, big-budget effects

    Being relatively new to Dr. Who, I decided to purchase the DVD's because the strong British and Scottish accents make it important to replay certain parts to hear the dialog (vs. watching the re-runs on BBC America and wondering 'what did he just say'?) These are excellent, thoughtful and brilliantly acted episodes. Once I understood that this is Fantasy and not Science Fiction, I stopped trying to make sense of the utter free-for-all of time travel paradoxes. These shows are vehicles for portraying humanity's shining moments of love, courage, loyalty, devotion, and resourcefulness. This particular season introduced Matt Smith and Karen Gillan as the Doctor and Amy Pond. They are INCREDIBLE.     Docotor Who is always fun to watch and so unique. Great buy!

    First it was a good price for a great condition. Then, Doctor who is very entertaining, except for the Darliks (did I spell it right?), because there is too much episodes about them along the years, and too much screamings, but Doctor Who is a very unique series, and I love it.

    The dr is in

    I am a long term watcher of the entire dr who, series, and am watching it at home from start to finish, when I think back to watching it on PBS in the early seventies in short segments , this is so much better. Worthy binge watching.

    Who's your favorite Doctor?

    I couldn't tell you who our favorite is; each Doctor had their own unique awesomeness! No matter which Doctor is your first, each had a special way of pulling you in to their story and their companions do the same thing. Each ends up a favorite! Here's to 11... and 10, 9, and 12!

    WHO is this guy that in in my head....bow ties are kool.

    totaly awesome as always. this dr is the most animated of all and his side kicks fit in perfectly. never a dull moment.
