“Jesus Calling” is exactly what this book is about-Jesus calling out to you and talking to you, person to person.
Highly recommend this book!!! I have purchased this book for several of my friends and relatives who always profusely thank me after using it! This is a daily devotional book that is written as if Jesus, Himself, were speaking, followed by scriptures to look up and read. The content is so inspiring and particularly helpful when the reader is going tough times!! This book makes scripture easy to understand and opens up a desire to read the Bible. This author has several other books out (I have them all) and they are just as good! If I were to rate this book from 1-10, I would give it a 15 plus!!Highly recommend this book!!! Jesus Calling is the single most encouraging, Spirit-filled, and immersed in The Word devotional I have ever experienced. So much so that since it was first given to me in 2004, I have reopened its pages to January 1 at the beginning of each new year, and begun it all over again. It has been the one devotional I have recommended and purchased over and over for my friends and loved ones. And it brought me immense help in the time of my own journey through The Valley of The Shadow. Do you know someone battling cancer? Do you know of a mother who has a son in the services? Do you know of someone trying to get off of drugs? All of these people need HOPE. That is what this devotional offers. One page per day of HOPE for you. Someone gave it to me, when I was diagnosed with cancer. It helped me get through chemotherapy on a day to day basis. Sometimes I would read one page over and over and over until it got deep down into my soul. I was not longer without HOPE. I was no longer afraid of my future. One page a day is all it took to help me through the journey. So I bought them and gave them to others who are lost in despair. I now buy them in bulk and keep them in my car and give them out. Jesus Calling by Sarah Young..Enjoying Peace in His Presence.
I love this devotional hardback book. It is very personal and compelling, and it brings me into God's presence when I sit and be still and read the scripture and devotional for each day. I highly recommend it. Have never had a devotional booklet that brought me such peace in Gods presence. It has 365 devotionals. One for each day of the year. It is a must read.

Absolutely the best devotional you can read. Everyday seems to fit the exact need for that day and time. Would recommend for believers, or people searching for the word. Written in language any one can understand with notes of where to find the pertaining scripture in the Bible.
