The 2002 rerelease of E.T., which marks 20 years since the film's 1982 debut, includes never before seen footage, enhanced visual effects, and a new remastered soundtrack.E.T. THE EXTRA-TERRESTRIAL is Steven Spielberg's warmhearted classic delight for both children and adults. It tells the story of an alien creature, E.T., mistakenly left behind on Earth. When a young boy, Elliott (Henry Thomas), finds E.T. and hides him in his home, both their worlds are changed forever. E.T. teaches Elliott and his two siblings (Drew Barrymore and Robert MacNaughton), whose parents have recently separated, about caring and love while the children protect E.T. from the malevolent world of grown-ups. Elliott and E.T. become so close that they share emotions; as E.T. becomes ill, so does Elliott. The children end up going on a fabulous adventure trying to help E.T. find a way back to his home planet. The movie was originally going to be based on a story idea by director John Sayles, but after he removed himself from the project, screenwriter Melissa Mathison (Harrison Ford's wife) took over the script and made it her own. John Williams's beautiful soundtrack became forever linked to E.T. THE EXTRA-TERRESTRIAL.

    Classic Movie

    Our kids liked the movie 🎥 E T back in the 90’s. Now there grown adults - they have kids so I wanted to buy the movie and share it with them. They enjoy it as well. Price was excellent. You cannot watch this movie on any app. So why not own it? That’s what I did. Love it!

    A great movie from my youth and now for my children. Pleased by the high quality of the Blue Ray. Special features a real treat. My family will enjoy this for years to come.

    Great movie

    ET is a timeless story the kid in all of us can relate with. Funny and emotional it checks all the boxes. The character development is excellent and something rarely seen today. ET is the perfect escape, no matter how many times you have watched it.

    Family Movie Night Success

    Our grade school's PTO purchased a movie license to show E.T. at Family Movie Night on 02/17/2017. Most of the kids in attendance had never seen it before, and it was a huge hit! It had been 30+ years since I had watched it, and it was nice to see it again.

    Amazing Movie!!!

    Very Good Movie. I have watched it when I was a kid and since so never lost the contact with the songs, the atmosphere of love and the power of your thoughts. Steven Spielberg deserved an Oscar but looks like the Academy has chosen so far their favorites movies to run for an Oscar in 1982.
