    Good but not super sharp...

    The lens I received was in pristine condition.. I used it on my Nikon d810.. as you might expect, the focus speed is not fast but not bad either. The images are good but not as sharp as you would get from a 70-200 vrii (I used the 70-200 vrii for almost a month). But for the price, this is a very good backup to have in your bag. Try to use it during sunny days and with a faster shutter speed..

    Nikon quality and rugged perfection in one package

    It is a Nikon! The name says it all. I have been shooting with Nikon 35mm cameras since 1974 when I got serious about photography and darkroom work. Nikons are a tank when it comes to durability, and performance in all shooting situations. You can buy cheaper, but you will be hard pressed to buy camera and lens of th0is quality.

    Sharp bullet proof lens at bargain basement prices

    Sharp, bullet proof lens. Good quality FX images all the way out to 210mm. This D version of this lens focuses fast. For the going prices its a real bargain.

    Quality zoom lens from Nikon!

    Great value for a quality zoom lens from Nikon. I use this via an adapter with my Fuji digital medium format. I find, in general, the Nikon lenses (I have had many over the years) are well-made and sharp. Some are bitingly sharp. For maximum sharpness this particular lens likes to be around f5.6-f8. If you don't have a lot of money to spend, get this zoom lens from Nikon, you won't be disappointed.
