Needed some tweaking, but works great
It's a great lifter, if you treat it as a turntable mod kit. It's not a simple "plug in and go" installation, but with a bit of work it can be made to perform well. It has some shortcomings: first the spring is too strong out of the box and would flip my ultralight tonearm out of the groove. It required a bit of careful bending on the actuator wire/spring to reduce the tension, so that a very light touch now activates the lifter. The second is that the top of the lifter is super smooth, and if not perfectly level will send the tonearm sliding. I attached a thin strip of adhesive rubber (the part leftover when you've used all of the adhesive rubber feet on a sheet) and the tonearm no longer slides around after lifting. It's also finicky to set up because it has no fine adjustment screws. ... It's a great lifter, if you treat it as a turntable mod kit. A tiny pair of needle nose pliers is useful here to tighten the set screw. All that said, it actually works great once adjusted, and has probably saved 8 hours of time on my needle in the two weeks since I bought it. :)

Beautiful well made item
Great product... an 'engish' how to install would be handy. It is a trial and error type of install as all tone arm positions are different. Beautiful build . Very Happy it got to Australia quickly

some may work some may not, this is my second one. inconsistant build quality.
it worked ok for a while, but something in the workmanship has failed, the lifter will no longer go all the way up, the tension loaded wire is too stiff for the tonearm to move it out of the notch on the shaft of the lifter, that would allow the lifter to rise. I believe the problem is the tension of the wire are not all the same, some may be too stiff, there is no way to adjust this. The other issue is the damping oil, i noticed air may be getting inside and preventing smooth operation. i noticed air bubbles when the lifter was activated, this tells me there is an issue with seal. Easy auto tonearm lift.
Simple setup and will work on most manual tonearms. Activation of the lift is very gentle and even tonearms with a very light tracking should have no troubles with this lift. The wooden box is a very nice touch and ensures that there is no damage in the post. The bonus cartridge setup scale is a nice plus to help your cartridge achieve perfect tracking.

works okay, but...
Works as advertized but the quality and function isn' as good as the old Audio Technica stardatd. Height adjustablilty is more limited, it doesn't have the second pin to act as a lock-out, it doesn't use a magnet to hold the pin in place, and the build quality is just sub-par. Overpriced for the quality you get.
