I had a 1870 code and the torque converter was shuttering and surging the tachometer up and down 200rpm. Converter would be HOT when parked. Local shop wanted over $3000 for a rebuild, which would have totaled the 99 blazer it is in. Vehicle is in great shape otherwise so I bought this kit and a fitzall for the tcc since I didn't want to ream and an oversize boost valve. Crispy shifts, lower temps, and have on/off lockup (not pwm)
