Intense and Unforgettable Film
1917 (2019) Director Sam Mendes’ masterpiece war film. The best movie of 2019, hands down. Absolutely compelling to watch with Mendes’ unique directing style, reminiscent of Alfred Hitchcock’s Rope, (with the long, continuous takes); Stanley Kubrick’s Paths of Glory and Spielberg’s Saving Private Ryan. The audience is taken on a cinematic ride in real time with Corporals Blake (Dean-Charles Chapman) and Schofield (George MacKay), two British soldiers in Northern France, as they are sent on a suicide mission to save lives. Outstanding musical soundtrack by Thomas Newman. Stunning cinematography by Roger Deakins. Superlative sound effects and set design by a team of artists, showing what it must have been like trudging through the muck and blood of WWI trench warfare. The “must-see” scene is the climactic “Scofield Run.” Intense and unforgettable. Grade A+.

Stunningly Life-like
A very well made movie that is so realistic it feels as if you are there. You can feel the emotions the characters are feeling even the pain. Probably a very life-like portrayal of what it was like to experience World War One. Enjoyed watching it, would recommend it to anyone wanting to see how things were in WW1.

If you are you looking for a new movie at great prices this is the place.
1917 is an excellent move. The cinatopgraphy was excellent. I also bought Once upon a time in Holly. I really enjoyed. You have excellent service, value for my dollar, and the movies are currrent. Good Movie, Good Merchant
Disc was in perfect shape and this is indeed one of the best war movies I have ever seen.

Not As Good As Previewed On TV
It’s a good story, but lacks keeping my interest. In comparison I found the new Midway movie to rate better and new Dunkirk Movie to rate worse.
