Willy DeVille is the founder, leader and principle songwriter of the bank Mink DeVille. The band came out of the mid-70s New York punk scene but first broke in UK with their hit "Spanish Stroll" in 1997. Theri music belied their punk routes and mixed soul with R&B, blues and cajun influences. In the mid-80s Willy went solo performing and recording under his own. His solo single "Storybook Love" was nominated for an Oscar after it appeared in the film the Princess Bride. Willy's latest incarnation is the Will DeVille Acoustic Trio who have been receiving great review for their concert across Europe this year. This record LIVE IN BERLIN was recorded in Berlin, Germany in March of 2002.
