Cool car but the kit should have better quality control in molding.
The kit comes with two engines, a big block and a fuel injected small block. Unfortunately, mine had a malformed transmission on the small block so part of it was missing and unusable. There is a lot of flash that needs to be trimmed off most of the pieces. Otherwise, the body was nicely detailed and had no issues. The interior tub comes with the sides and seats molded in place. This makes it much harder to paint in the trim and fabric details. The chassis is also molded with the exhaust in place which is less detailed than many kits. The kit comes with two sets of wheels and drag slicks that are pad printed for a great look. I will be using custom wheels on mine. The wheel wells may need to be modified slightly to get the fit I want, but they seem to be pretty good as is. 63 Stingrays are very cool cars, and in spite of the challenges and short comings of this kit, it will turn out great, but will require some extra effort to build to a high standard. See the pic of my wheels test fit... stay tuned for more pics when finished,
UPDATE: Round 2 is sending replacement engine parts. Kit is challenging but still fun. Looks great with Pegasus Allante Wheels. I like AMT kits, I recommend it... just be prepared for extra effort needed on this one.
