Best type battery
I had a pet safe invisible fence 30 years ago and it worked good back then. But it took the button batteries and they just don't last as long. This unit takes a 9 volt battery and works longer. I have just had it a couple of months but my brothers unit has gone 5 or 6 months. I tries setting one but my border collie would cross the barrier. I moved it to the number 2 setting and he has not come closer than 10 feet to the barrier. I have a complete physical fence with this wire on the inside of the fence. He had dug out without the pet safe. But hasn't with it installed. And if you have a more "stubborn" dog. there is still 3 stronger settings (but start low, #2 should work)Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Highly recommend to keep you pet safely confined to your yard.
Works perfect! I looked at many competitors but for my very stubborn Golden Retriever, this was just what she needed to stay safely confined. Only took a few days of training before she wanted no part of approaching the boundary. I did have a small problem after laying the wire down. The loop indicated that I had a break. I do not recommend the $100 PetSafe product to find a break but instead recommend a $15 non-contact electrical tester. Better than expected
This worked great. Other than the time running the wire around the property (16-1700 ft) it was easy to setup. The dog trained his self in about 10 minutes. We tried to walk him around but he is not leash trained.. worth the money
works for me and my two yr old lab, I expected problems with the buried wire and have had some but caused by yard man and driveway edger. I purchased the petsafe fault finder to find a break and found it to be excellent and exact to 6". Great system - Even for stubborn dogs!
We have this system at our home and have installed at each of our kids homes too. All our dogs are trained on each others yards, so they can visit their fur-cousins. In total, we have 10 dogs who can play together as long as mom & dad remember their collars! Keeping our "speeding bullet" English Springer Spaniel inside of our 2 Acres.
We also have a Golden Retriever, but she's not near the problem of the Springer. My son in law has had this system for several years, and recommended it to me. My 3 teen age daughters installed it in 2 1/2 days, using a Black & Decker lawn edger/ trencher ($88.00 at Walmart) and a portable generator for power. Problem solved ! It works perfectly for both dogs. We are very happy with the quality of this system, and the long battery life. iF YOU LOVE YOUR DOG LIKE WE DO
We bought this because we have a 6 month old German Shepard with lots of energy. She is very smart and minds well for a pup, but we live on a blacktop road and the fear of her seeing something and chasing after it and getting hit was a real fear. We have had it hooked up for week and half now and she is learning "her territory" The first week I would take her on leash and we would walk the marked out area. She can tell when she gets to close to boundary. She has had to try a couple times to leave her area and was shocked. It did not really hurt her, but it did give her a fear, which I would rather her be shocked a few times then to get hit on road. It is a work in progress in her learning and us completely trusting to leave her alone just yet, but I think before long we will feel confidant enough that she will be safe and she will know and respect her area to run and play. My husband and daughter in law marked out the territory, it did not take them long ,maybe about an hour. It was easy enough to get it all set up and figured out. The collar was not hard to understand how to set it either. Our son and his wife has the 1/2 acre one and they have 2 big dogs and they were happy with how it worked for them, so we decided that was what we would get also, except we got the 3/4 acre one as we live in country. Works well but could be improved

Everything in one bundle!
Item exactly as described. We installed mostly above ground on existing ranch and redwood fencing, buried a small amount, also ran across a concrete driveway with gate. Very easy to set up. About 600 feet in a double loop took my husband and I about 3.5 hours total. Training underway and so far, so good! Apparently he is not as stubborn as we thought!
