Famous for a Reason
One of the best known and favorite Gilbert & Sullivan Light Operas for a reason. The songs are well-crafted and memorable as are the characters. D'Oyly Carte Opera stars Martyn Green and Sydney Granville are joined in the film by other first rate talent including tenor Kenny Baker who rose to fame on the pre-Dennis Day Jack Benny Program. This DVD includes their dated and unPC rendition of "I Have a Little List" in the extras. For me the main treat was in seeing these two Gilbert & Sullivan pros doing what they did best.

Missing some important parts
We were looking forward to seeing this version of the Mikado with Martyn Green, but it seemed to be awkwardly cut. Not very satisfying.
