    Zeitloses Meisterwerk in professionell umgesetztem 3D

    "Part of your world", "Under the sea" oder aber "Kiss the girl"...wer kennt sie nicht, die unvergessenen Melodien. Auch wenn die Disney-Version von Hans Christian Andersens Märchen zusätzlich zu den süßen Fischen und Krabben auch noch ein zuckersüßes Happy-End hat, so macht dieser Film einfach nur Spaß. Es ist erstaunlich, wie gut und auf den Punkt genau eine gezeichnete Figur agiert, da kann so mancher Schauspieler noch was lernen. Und wenn man bedenkt, dass jedes der 24 Bilder pro Sekunde mit der Hand gezeichnet wurde, dann fällt es schwer, so ein Werk nicht als Kunst zu bezeichnen. Für den amerikanischen Markt wurde der Film wie auch schon "Der König der Löwen" in 3D konvertiert, und das auch erstaunlich gut. Es gibt nicht viel pop-out-Effekte, aber das Bild hat eine schöne Tiefe, und ...

    Exactly what I hoped for

    I was leery about buying a Disney classic from eBay, but this multi format copy of The Little Mermaid is exactly what I was hoping for. My girls and I have watched it several times since we got it last week, all on our home player, car entertainment system and on the Movies Anywhere app with the digital code (FYI, the code shows an expiration date of Nov 2018). My copy also came w a 3D copy that I haven’t tried, and a music download code that has already expired. Very happy with this purchase.

    Remember home 3D?

    Remember when the industry was trying to push home 3D? Not great. I haven't watched the 3D version as I don't have the capability in my home theater. The rest of the supplements are great, although definitely of a time capsule from half a decade ago. The digital copy still works, I contacted Disney to make sure. The digital download of the soundtrack has expired, however. Right now, this is the only way to have this movie digitally...although the Disney rep told me there will be a Signature Edition being released soon (no date given, I asked).

    The Film that Started the Disney Animation Rebirth.

    Classic film from Disney's rebirth in the late 80s has a great look and a terrific musical score by Ashman/Menken . Well worth the watch if you're into this sort of film. Even better now that it's been released in 3D.

    Great 3D version of a great movie.

    This listing had the best price out of all the listings I found online. I tested all of the discs and all work perfectly. The movie itself is one of the best from Disney.
