An Underrated cult movie from 1985
Remo Williams The Adventure Begins is a underrated classic. Sure the movie is politically incorrect and does seem to meander at times, but the relationship between the two leads Fred Ward, as the cop who is recruited unwillingly into a shadow organisation and Joel Grey as his Martial Arts master of Sinanju make it work. Without their chemistry the film would fall apart. Because parts of the film are disjointed this failed at the box office in its attempts to be the American James Bond. Had it followed maybe closer to the original novels it is based it might have fared better. An outstanding stunt sequence from the film is the Statue of Liberty fight/chase sequence (which is covered in one of the 5 Featurettes accompanying the bluray). Twilight Time limited edition bluray from 2016 uses the same transfers as Arrow Video UK bluray from 2014. But themain difference is the exclusive 5 Featurettes which focus more on the movie rather than the interviews featured on the UK release. Also it has an isolated music only track, commentary by 3 historians and the audio is 2.0 DTS HD audio with Subtitles in English included as opposed to to Arrows 2.0 LPCM English audio. I like how they use the films original poster artwork for the bluray cover as opposed to the new artwork arrow had done for their release (although they did include the original artwork on their reversible sleeve). A Booklet with liner notes is included, all in all a very nice package for any Remo fans. As this edition was limited, you can only purchase via 3rd party sellers.

Dated but interesting!

Twilight Time limited 3000 release. This is an extremely rare and underrated 80's movie that many dont know about. Directed by Guy Hamilton (live and let die) and (the man with the golden gun). The cover art is the original movie poster which is one of the reasons i waited to buy it til now being a collector. There is one other bluray but i hated the artwork. Just like I remembered
