Set the standard for sexual thrillers
This movie was edited over 14 times to get it an 'R rating'. The graphics were so realistic, the shock value was too intense for a general audience. On the Director's Cut you get to see only a few minutes (if that) of camera angles during 1) the initial crime scene and 2) the sex scene with his psychologist / girlfriend, and 3) the bed scene at her house. The disc also offers bonus material on what was cut out & sound dubbed in for different formats. The quality of the print is excellent. It looks as crisp, clear, sharp, glorious sound, and relevant today as it did 25 years ago. Maybe that is due to the stars Michael Douglas and Sharon Stone which are burning hot together. This is one of my favorite blue ray discs. Highly recommended for anyone's home collection. Not for the kids.
