If crime drama is your thing, this is a must-have in your DVD library.
I missed this series when it was first aired but when I started buying DVD series I saw it had excellent reviews - and they were spot on. I'm really immersed in it and, given it's age, have been fascinated by seeing so many guest appearances by young actors and actresses who went on to become top names in the field. An excellent gritty series, beautifully written produced and directed with a stellar cast. The subtle ongoing revelations into the background of the main characters and the impact it has on their psychological reaction to the jobs they do is remarkably good.I missed this series when it was first aired but when I started buying DVD series I saw it had excellent reviews - and they were spot on. The Best Crime Series; Cast is AMAZING; An Original
Wanted to share this series with my daughter who was born in 92! She is a fan of Law and Order SVU- and something reminded me of this show-- then I started to look for it-- and HOLY COW! It's really impossible to find in it's entirety streaming- and I didn't want to 'half' find it! 😆 So I set out to find it complete and was thrilled to do so! I can only assume there would be some sort of battle with the higher ups and it has blocked this from streaming or being released on Hulu or Netflix -- but that's okay with me! 😆 I still have a DVD player -- Wanted to share this series with my daughter who was born in 92! Exactly as advertised. Just what I was looking for.
This box set is not easy to come by, and I couldn't find it on any streaming platforms, so I was glad to find it and thought the price was very fair. As advertised. New and in great shape.

Homicide: life on the street is the thinkers cop show. It does not need car chases, shoot outs , sex scene or love interest, it is a about the story. True to David Simon’s book and Charm city itself. Homicide pulls you in until you are in Fells Point with the squad. Not always pretty, the good guys don’t always win, and every story does not end with an ending just like life on the street. truly entertaining.Homicide: life on the street is the thinkers cop show. This is a favorite show that I've had my eye on for a decade now. Grateful to have it, weird to see it in the same "TV" window as the old days. I would buy again for full-screen updated graphics. I'd rate a 5 for the price we paid which was a blessing compared to other places :)
