Good hop-up product!
The 25 turn Torque Tuned motor is a good compromise between the sport tuned and standard RS540 motor. These seem fairly durable, and can last years! But I advise running it off load for half an hour in each direction before use, to bed in the brushes, and reduce the probability of the brush welding itself to the commutator and wrecking the motor! It can't compete with a similar powered brushless motor, but it's a good fun hop-up for most cars that come with a standard 540!

Increased power and reliability.
I have just fitted this to the model. It is reliable, durable and lasted through continuous use without cutting out.

Tamiya torqued tuned 540 motor
This should be your first upgrade to the stock silver can kit motor. Value for money. Easy to fit and set up.

Lost the car!
I would love to but my son lost his Tamiya grasshopper car in the floods before the motor upgrade 😢

Disappointing performance...
I was disappointed with the torque tuned motor, it wasn't any quicker on acceleration in my FAV than the standard silver can, so switched back to it. It's quite noisy as well, like a grating noise.
