Excellent selection of short stories about the Naval forces in the South Pacific in WW2
This is an excellent grouping of short stories based on the time James A. Michener spent in the South Pacific during WW2. I had not read it previously but have found it very entertaining and well worth the cost. I highly recommend this if you have any interest in the parts of WW2 that were just slightly out of the main conflicts.

All you ever needed to know about the South Pacific Islands
I have been to the every island the author talks writes about, Spot on, and more. Funny, amusing, telling and touching. A must for anyone interested in the South Pacific.
