As you enjoy the music, you will learn about the communities, plants, winds, and rains that make Maui a memorable and beloved island to it's kama'aina (children of the land) and visitors alike. The songs are performed by people with special connections to the places represented and include 8 originals and 2 chants. The 28-page booklet enhances your experience of the musical journey around Maui; each song's inspiration and connection to the performer is explained and accompanied by the lyrics in Hawaiian with English translations. Each song is also paired with an image from award-winning Maui photographer Randy Jay Braun.
