Notes2019 release from the iconic pop superstar. Madame X is the fourteenth studio album by singer and songwriter Madonna on Interscope Records. The album follows Rebel Heart. Madonna relocated to Lisbon, Portugal in 2017. She met artists, painters, and musicians. She decided to record an album based on her musical experience in the Portuguese city, which she referred to be "a melting pot of culture musically, from Angola to Guinea-Bissau to Spain to Brazil to France to Cape Verde".

Madonna is back
Following the fantastic, “Rebel Heart” release, “Madame X” is a fine follow-up and gets back to sounding more like the Madonna we fell in love with in the 80’s. She does have a mixed bag in this one with Portuguese fado music, Colombian, and rap. AMAZING SONGS THAT SHOW A GREAT MATURITY!!!
At first I found this cd to be overbearing and self indulgent since it is not the Madonna I'm used to. As I listened more, it actually grew on me and now there are songs that I can't get out of my head. Artistically it is without a doubt the best thing I've heard this year and is easily Grammy worthy. No other artist could have pulled this off because no other artist has earned the artist freedom that Madonna has. Like nothing you'll ever hear on the radio!!!! Amazing..
