Light up a good idea
Easy to use and versatile for a variety of play options that include learning and invention at the same time. John Adams Hot Wires has the same components as Cambridge BrainBox, its predecessor presumably. It remains a good toy despite the competition from other similar products on the market. It is sturdy, spares are available and it is likely to last for generations of children (and their adults) despite the move to electronics being more 'micro' orientated now.

these are my Sons Views on New John Adams Classic Hot Wires Electronics Kit Set Kids ''its good, and its entertaining and sciencey and i want another for my birthday so i can do bigger experiment'' just to let people know my son is 10 and i think what he has to say about the item is quite accurate and he has not stopped playing with it since xmas so it was a good buy in my opinion and is very durable and is easy to do once shown

Great bit of learning kit!
Got this for my 5 year old and he loves it, all the different things he can make, whenever we make a circuit with the led or lamp we have to wait until it’s dark to prove it works, and best thing is he doesn’t realise he’s actually learning from it as it just fun too him!

Super quality product
I found the kit very good quality and very easy to use and build circuits, brilliant for kids too. However some of the experiments were repetitive with similar results. But for teaching children the principles of electricity and building circuits, it’s fantastic and would keep them entertained for hours.

Great neat and tidy kit.
Lots to do and fairly straightforward. Always good to build something that does something too, not just electronics but action electronics. Very expensive and overpriced though but will last for a long time. All in all, a great gift for someone "techy" but once you have made all the things it will probably be put away for months or years.

Fabulous value
This is so great. My seven-year-old loves it. He's amazed that he can make his own simple radio receiver that actually picks up BBC radio stations! Really good quality equipment.

The Spark Of Life

Great set for kids.
Haven't played with this yet as I bought it for a Christmas present. Looks like good fun and plenty to keep you entertained.

Hot Wires !!!!!
Excellent !! My 5 year old has not stopped playing with this - he can build his own circuits and so safe to play unsupervised !! Great product and Thanks x
