One of the funniest sitcoms ever.
One of the funniest sit coms ever. Larry David (Seinfeld co-creator) is a big fan of Phil Silvers and uses some of the gags from the 1950's shows in his Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm shows. I was watching these episodes on YouTube, but [YouTube] would pull them down for copyright infringement. Tired of playing whack-a-mole with YouTube, I decided to buy the programs on DVD and watch when I wanted. The quality of the item is excellent. Good packaging and each disc is laser marked with its Season / Episodes.

One of the best that is still funny today
If you like Steve Martin in Bilko watch the original that got him started in comedy. I had problems with 2 disks but its from the manufacture. The folks I bought it for are wonderful. Fast service and well packed I would buy from them again and again. If you love to laugh get this set it will entertain you for hours and hours.

Funnier than 94.7% of today's shows.
Two reasons why this show is a classic for me, the first is the extremely fast pace of the comedy itself. I understand that a lot of what we see in the series is adlib humor on the part of Phil silvers. The other is the psychological mind games that the Sgt. Bilko character plays to get his way with the other characters. very cunning and head and shoulders above most sitcoms. Also, realistic portrayal of black soldiers .

Older show, but a clasic.
If you like military humour, then this is a show for you. Con Man Sgt Bilko tries to con everyone of their money at all coast, but it never quiet goes as planned. The dvd's arrived at my house quicker then advertised and exalent condition. I love the show and use it as a default for when nothing else intresting is on tv.

One of the best sitcoms of the 50's
This show never fails to crack me up, even when watching episodes a second or third time. Phil Silvers is a master of comedy and there couldn't have been a better choice for Sgt. Bilko. Even the bit players like Henshaw, Barbella, Paperielli, Doberman, etc. are entertaining. It should be noted that Silvers rarely followed his script as written and was prone to adlib whenever he thought it was necessary. Favorite episode is the one with Zippy The Chimp being accidentally inducted into the army. Hilarious!

Best Sitcom Ever
The funniest show. Phil Silvers is astonishing as the conniving yet big - hearted Sgt, Bilko, and the ensemble cast are as good as those in any other show in existence. There are almost as many memorable lines as "Hamlet." Here's a good one: "How dare you let their happiness stand in the way of his greed?"

Sgt Bilko complete set.
One of my favourite comedy shows. Good value for money,except that Series Two disc had some faulty episodes. Freezing of picture and sound, which was disapppointing.

Impressive Sgt Bilko DVD Set
Very surprised with the video quality of the Bilko series. Thoroughly enjoying this old series which started when I was young. Well worth the money in my opinion.

A ticket to more creative times.
To be able to go back and rewatch Phil Silvers as Sgt. Bilco and experience the brilliance of the show is indeed amazing. This IS comedy at its best.

great dvd great laughs
The Phil silvers show was a great military comedy show which i enjoyed watching very much I like that they're coming out with shows that aired from the late 50's early 60's
