This release is based on the epic Tolkien trilogy that defined the fantasy genre for all works before and since. The player follows the journey of Frodo Baggins, the small and unassuming hobbit who is fated to save or doom the world of Middle Earth through his actions in a quest to destroy the Ring of Power he carries. Great heroes and mighty adventurers join Frodo on his journey in the hope that their guidance and protection may help deliver the young hobbit safely to his great destiny.<br><br>J. R. R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings: Volume 1 can feature up to four human-controlled characters on the screen at once. Though the use of the Super NES Multiplayer Adaptor, four gamers can join together as Sam, Aragorn, or even Gandalf, each controlling his own character to help Frodo on the long and arduous journey to destroy the One Ring. A built-in "save" feature allows gamers to complete the long adventure in multiple sessions

Time to go on an adventure!
Awesome game. A great throwback to my younger days hanging with friends and wishing we were on the journey for real.

Game collectible
This Lord of the Rings game-play was not the best but none the less fun. If you a Lord of the rings fan, it's a must have in fact it did make me laugh at times. Definitely a game I'll pull out and play from time to time. Enjoy and keep on gaming.
