This is one of Harrison Ford's best films with a cultural twist on an old familiar plot. Ford's character is a hardened big city homicide detective who find's himself in a world completely alien to him - a bucolic Amish community. He is there to protect himself from killers who are after him and a Amish young boy he is protecting who was a witness to a brutal murder (hence the title). It is this fish out of water scenario that lifts the story to a higher level and makes it most entertaining.
