Original earlier design - GOOD
This item is the earlier type Schaller product. It is more compact, uses a hex nut clamp bolt and has the pin outer diameter machined properly to fin in the peg receiving hole diameter without binding and unscrewing the peg. I have a set of the newer Schaller design which someone in the Schaller design department must have been asleep. To use the newer design with the lock ring and screw, I needed to counter bore the peg hole on a drill press, to a larger diameter to fit the lock pin without binding. Not fun. Also the new design is unnecessarily bigger which feels and looks clumsy. Buy this item in the original design configuration and you will be much happier.

Great positive locking strap locks
Fantastic Schaller quality strap locks. They squeak a little, but they all do.

The good stuff!
Basically these are the older style Schaller Straplocks. I don't like the newer version so I always get these if I can. The gold plating is way better than the cheap knock-offs. Buy these, you won't be disappointed.

Schaller strap locks
Great product. I have them on every guitar I own. They hold the guitar safely and prevent accidental dropping. I will continue to always buy a pair for every guitar I own.

Schaller Best hands down.
The Schaller strap locks are my go to straplocks.Since they came on my Fender Amercan Deluxe I will not use another brand period!!!! What can I say but they are the greatest!!!!

Don’t Drop Your Guitar
If you paid more than 500 for your guitar these strap locks are a very simple choice. If you paid a 1000 or more for a guitar they are a must have, and if you paid 2000 or more for your guitar and won’t spend 20 bucks for theses than you have more money than common sense in which case your guitar has more to fear than just you dropping it.
