Perhaps the worst movie I have ever seen.
The acting was so bad that there never was a moment I thought they were the actual characters. they just looked like they were....., acting. The lead characters were not at all convincing. The not subtle use of the actors wearing different shades of grey, or one wearing black and another white was absurdly obvious and demeaning to the viewer. The character development was minimal at best, the story line was choppy and never did build to a "climax." (too good a word to not use for the dual meaning) Even the "dominant" and "submissive" sex scenes couldn't salvage this terrible movie. I regret spending money buying this miserable movie. 50 Shades of Grey (Film)
I love character studies, and this is prime example of that. Both characters learn and evolve together are wonderful. All new actors for me makes it easier to be interested in the storyline and as individual characters.. I was under the impression from other comments and reviews that this story was just about 'sadist' type sex. But far from the truth for me. For me, this is a story is about two people who are both vulnerable in their own lives. The young lady innocent and willing to learn about advancing her personal life, longing to be loved. The man is suffering from being physical and mentally abused and betrayed, but starving to be loved and secure. Together, they find a fulfillment they are desperately seeking. He learns what the wonder of true unselfish love from a woman ... I love character studies, and this is prime example of that. Both characters learn and evolve together are wonderful. I liked this movie so well that I bought the Blu-ray set, and the book trilogy set. Looking sforward to buying the Part 2 and Part 3 Blu-ray .

Ehhh
The movie was okay, but i don't understand all the hype everyone has for it. I know people in that "world" and they are offended by their way of defining it. But the idea of the movie is cute and has potential but it's not as great as everyone's saying. Sorry if this doesn't make sense but it's hard to explain overall an okay movie shouldn't have bought it though

This is such a great book
This is such a great book... Very entertaining and engaging. I thoroughly enjoyed this book as well as the movie. I have since read all of the other books in this series and highly recommend all of these. Do yourself a favor and step into the world of Christain Grey and Anastasia Steele.... You will not regret it....

Love the storyline
If you can be mature about it and see beyond the sex scenes, then you can come to understand the actual story line of what can be the result of child abuse outcome. The struggle of recognition in the path of finding and wanting to be truly loved is in this movie.But like I said you have to have the mentality of what truly can happened in life.
