Product Information

Burt Reynolds stars as the Bandit in this seminal portrayal of rough-ridin', beer-swillin', sheriff-dodgin', trouble-chasin' truckers. The Bandit's has taken on his craziest haul yet: a trailer full of Coors beer. If he can deliver the goods from Texarcana to Atlanta within forty-eight hours, he'll be $80,000 richer. Hilarious mayhem ensues, however, when the Bandit falls for a runaway bride (Sally Field). As they push toward Atlanta, the two have to evade Fields' vengeful father-in-law, Texas Sheriff Buford T. Justice (Jackie Gleason as the maniac "Smokey" of the title). The stakes get higher and the car chases more frenzied in this hysterical romp through the American highways. Charismatic performances by Reynolds and Gleason made this a huge box office draw. ITA winner. Academy Award Nominations: Best Film Editing.

    The item was sold as NEW (SEALED). it was carefully and thoughtfully wrapped with cardboard cut to size to protect the DVD and bubble wrap around it. I have not opened the sealed DVD yet but wanted to comment the seller for the excellent care he provided. I would certainly on this basis care to save the seller's contact info for possible future purchases.

    They're gonna do what they say can't be done

    Smoking in the bandit is an American classic. May not be the best movie in the world, but it is part of our heritage. So if you like some goofball laughs and some courageous men and a cute girl, then you got your movie.

    Hitchcock’s Favorite Movie

    This movie is just fun and light and entertaining. Lots of laughs and action and even a little romance. Do a search on Hitchcock and this movie. It was his favorite. It’s not my favorite. But it is worth watching over and over again.

    East bound & down! They'll never catch the Bandit!

    This needs to be in your DVD collection. Burt at his fun loving best makes this a good movie. I hadn't seen Smokie since its original release date, I had forgotten about the CB craze. Great cast, plenty of action.

    I like this movie I,ve seen it before when I was younger and it first came out on the big screen I went and seen it 7 times in the theater I loved it than and I still do now .thanks goodwill . Thanks eBay ! I love you all. Baby's 🤗😂😎

    Love the old classics

    These kind of good old movies will never die. My yuppie kids even like to sit down & watch them with me. I'm tired of most of the blood & gore stuff in the theaters these days.
