Realms of Illusion is a re-titled re-release of Detalion's 2004 sci-fi graphic adventure, Sentinel: Descendants in Time. Players take the role of Beni, who sets out to explore the ancient ruins of a long-extinct civilization, hidden deep within a network of mysterious caverns. Upon entering this sacred place, players are confronted by a strange, artificial intelligence called "Sentinel," which appears as a shadowy female figure. Sentinel reappears throughout the adventure, but her true purpose remains unclear. As they make their way through the story, players will visit eight different worlds, and be challenged with 20 involved puzzles. The game's multiple difficulty levels allow them to adjust the challenge to their liking, however, and an in-game hint system is also available.
