Unqualified Opinion
This phone was purchased as the result of being unduly harassed by my spouse. I personally like my old land line, and have no desire to be dragged into the 21st Century using technology that makes allowances for people to be rude as the result of using a phone. I do not like the fact my phone contains information on it the police are more interested in than I am, nor am I interested in being readily available 24/7. Last but not least I do not require instant gratification. What I do like about the phone is it has a quad core processor, 32 gigs of memory, a 13 Mega Pixel Camera, is a supposedly desired smart phone that was unlocked allowing me the freedom to chose a service provider without a contract. Most people pay between 400-500 dollars for this technology. I bought the phone for a reasonable price (80.00), and pay 35.00 a month for service. While I am not an aficionado by any stretch of the imagination when it comes to smart phones, this phone does what I need it to do efficiently and inexpensively. If you do not have to have the newest, latest and greatest, and want a phone that functions well, you may want to consider the unlocked Amazon Fire Phone.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

Fantastic unlocked phone! As good as an iPhone or Samsung Galaxy or Note
I had this phone for two years until i tripped and fell with it in my hand and shattered the glass. It was definitely the best phone I have had since the smartphone platforms were released. Granted it was neither android or iPhone, it was in my opinion just as high quality as an iPhone or a Samsung Galaxy or Galaxy Note android. It had an excellent camera and took better photos than both of those brands of phones. Though it didnt come with Google play store on the phone as it was a Kindle product, limiting the available applications, there is what is called a side door trick allowing you to get the Google play store. Not having play store seemed to be people's only real issue with the phone, which was corrected by simply watching a YouTube video that walked you through putting play store on the phone. The first fire phone I purchased new from Amazon, then after loving it so much, I ordered a refurbished here on eBay for my teenage son who also says it was the best phone he ever owned. This was a fast phone with lots of memory space without all the preloaded apps that take up half of the 64 gig memory. I was really disappointed when Amazon didn't make a fire phone 2. The only reason i didnt replace the Fire phone is because I switched from Family Mobile, which allowed unlocked phones, to MetroPCS which didnt. If i could, I'd still have this phone even though it is now about 3.5 years old. Other reviewers call this phone a flop, I whole heartedly disagree. Even now, I'd say this phone is better than any other unlocked phones on pay as you go plans. Great phone

Fire phone
Ok so I know Amazon isn't familiar with smartphones but their first was a flop. The software is fire os and it is not pleasant to use the battery is okay on it but the four cameras that sit in the front screen to track your face. To be fair it's Amazon's first smartphone if they make another they should get help form a manufacture that has been in the smartphone business for years. Great battery life but gets a meh for its UI

as an enhanced telephone - perfect
Small, light, intuitive. Perfect as a TELEPHONE but not as a portable brain. However, if you need to communicate with people rather than use the device as the substitute for people, keep away. Battery life -average, needs recharging every 12 hrs (average use load). Apps limited but sufficient for daily applications needed for facilitation of life rather than service as it's pivot. Define then what purpose the phone is to serve. If that of a phone - ideal. Otherwise read reviews on line, then decide. Good value even for a 2014 smarphone
A quad core smartphone for 50 bucks and 32 GB of storage, it is a steal. Bluetooth and wifi work great. Just disable the active perspective gimmick and battery life should go up. Versital Phone

Ultimate replacement for my iPod
I purchased a Fire Phone to use as a replacement for my iPod and I couldn't be happier. It appears as new and the only thing I didn't get was the warranty and free year of Prime which is understandable. I quickly passed my iPod to my teenage daughter. I am an Amazon Prime member and have over 3,000 books/audiobooks in my personal Kindle/Audible libraries. I listen to books more than I sit and read them so I can continue to do other things like work. I have all of my books/audiobooks in my pocket and the convenience of text to speech which is available through the Kindle app. I am also able to take advantage of public libaray book borrowing apps like Overdrive, Hoopla and OneClickDigital. I use my Kindle eReader for reading and also have a Fire tablet to organize my media. I may buy another Fire Phone as a spare since they are no longer manufactured. Amazon should consider revamping and selling as an mp3 player. This probably wouldn't be an ideal choice for someone who is not immersed in the Amazon universe but for this Prime member this is a gem.
