    Helps to explain the current world situation

    I am not done with the book, but the author does a good job of illustrating his points with specific examples from his work as a prison psychologist, and his writing is clear and often dryly humorous. I think that this topic if critically important to understanding what is going on in the world today as it appears that psychopaths have captured our governments. Highly recommended!

    Get this to deal with Bad Bosses and Co-workers

    I deal with Narcissist bosses and employees in my job in the federal govt. For so long I was dealing with them like they were normal people and repeatedly surprised as to why they were acting the way they did - despite my best effort to do right. When you take time to understand they have a serious and incurable mental disorder, that is the first step to becoming effective at dealing with them. . Not all bad bossed are NPD/psycopaths.. but it's a good thing to check along the way.

    Truly accurate.

    So far, the most compelling book I have ever read on psychopaths. Dr. Hare, the world's leading expert on psychopathy, is so literate, and so attuned to his patients, that the book reads like fiction. It's so fascinating I could not put it down. He really describes what they're like, and the kind of things they say, the way they think, and the crazy-ass things they do. He conveys like no other person I've ever read, the eerie, "otherworldly" aura they can emit, the sense that they can give of being not quite human, having an aura of being truly different. But although he writes about the appalling way they treat people and animals, and all the crimes they commit, he seems to care about them so much, and their many victims, and to be truly committed to finding some kind of solution to the ...
