When he arrives there, he finds a very tight-knit community that is mistrustful and hostile to outsiders. No one is willing to even acknowledge Rowan's disappearance. Soon, Howie begins to realize that the town might, in fact, be a strange pagan cult, one given to unbridled sexuality and possible human sacrifice.     Get the Extended Version of The (original) Wicker Man. You won't be sorry.

    The Wicker Man (extended version) is the version Hammer Films originally wanted to release without censors getting in the way. The copies in the UK were lost as the edits were literally paved over (interesting story that Christopher Lee recounts). The only full version of the film was found decades later in the possession of American director Roger Corman. Highly recommended. Not only is there more content in the film, the editing is different. Scenes that happen in the beginning of the theatrical release actually take place at the end of the extended version which gives the movie a different narrative. I'm glad to have this film back in my possession as I owned it when it first came out in the early 2000s but lost the copy to time and moving. Highly recommended viewing for anyone who ...

    Classic 1973 Horror Movie The Wicker Man * Reportedly one of Christopher Lee's favorite roles * The 2 DVD edition with the restored scenes (though not restored quality) is the best to have and this edition has both the normal and extended editions so you can take your pick * Great movie!

    It's Time To Meet The Wicker Man.

    This is a 2 disc set and includes an extended version of The Wicker Man. The film is awesome I have watched both versions and though similar the extended version is so much better. I found this for a great price, I believe in the 20 - 25 dollar range. I hope Ur able to find it for a decent price because it came out in 71. I am sure it is OOP, but maybe U will get lucky.
