Wonderful!!!
I seen this movie when it first was released years ago. Not to be cruel but, the re-make on Lifetime is no match for the original. I couldn't even site through the remake. I bought this for my friend to see the difference and why I was so offended by the remake of Beaches. First of all, no one can play CC but Bette Midler. The way the characters are introduced to you is not rushed. You walk away feeling so much love and sadness and emotion because of how well the movie was made and because of the music and because the time was taken to tell a wonderful story and bring us along for the ride over the years of these two women's lives. Watch this original "Beaches". Some things are not meant to be re-made.I seen this movie when it first was released years ago. "Beaches" is the "comfort food" of movies
This is my comfort movie. My "ice cream" after a break up. I adore this movie. It's thoroughly entertaining and nostalgic. It perfectly captures the nuances of female friendship with all the sisterly love and jealousies. It's an endearing, heartwarming and bittersweet story that will make you laugh and cry. It's a healing tale of true friendship and love that leaves you thoughtful and satisfied. Bette Middler is as wonderful as ever. I highly recommend it.This is my comfort movie. Withstands the test of time.
Being from the east coast and spending summer days in Coney Island I can really relate to CC Bloom. Although the story takes place in Atlantic City, I have terrific memories of singing, and cutting records, in the booths of Coney Island with my sister. We were around the same age as CC was as a child. It was a time in history when kids could safely go off on their own and enjoy the simpler things in life. Great memories! Anyway, I have always enjoyed this film, but have not seen it in many years. The bond created as children carries these characters through some tough times and although they are not always physically close, they are definitely sisters at heart. Neither is perfect and their close bond makes it possible for each to forgive. I was very pleased to discover that the movie ... Get your popcorn and Kleenex ready
I can remember seeing this movie when it was released way back in the'80's it was both sentimental and funny. The kind of bonding between the two characters kind of have new singe insight on how a true friendship should be. The film also deals with the parent of a young child dying, a theme that was upsetting and made this movie is a real tearjerker. I give this movie a bid thumbs up!

Best Movie
I have always loved this movie and now I own it. Its funny and also sad and it keeps you entertained. You will laugh and you will cry. A movie you need to watch if you havent already.
