This children's film, directed by Gary Trousdale and Kirk Wise, is truly a classic tale. At just 84 minutes in length, this G-rated movie tells a story viewers can enjoy again and again. This "Beauty and the Beast" Diamond Edition includes three different versions of the film, audio commentary and Disney song along mode. The Blu-ray/DVD also has several bonus features such as deleted scenes, an alternate opening, and games. "Beauty and the Beast" is the only animated film to receive a Best Picture Oscar nomination, and makes a wonderful addition to any family film collection.

    Beauty and the Beast

    I viewed the VHS version several years ago. This Diamond Edition seemed shorter in length. The roof-top fight scene between the beast and the obnoxious suitor seemed much shorter, and the scenes where the kitchen and dining room tableware fought the village intruders also seemed shortened. In the VHS version, the clothes cupboard's fight scenes were much longer. The scenes when the beast is morphing into the prince seemed less. This is my opinion. I have always enjoyed this Walt Disney production. Thank you.

    Beauty&Grand Daughters

    Well it's just as exciting as it was when my daughters where kids, now i still enjoy watching it with my grandkids, their singing and dancing sitting still and enjoying every moment of the movie, smiling. If it's a Disney Dvd out there to get, this is it, my Lil granddaughter loves (Chip) the tea cup, and for me Belle and the Beast are my favorite, and just the overall movie, the scene when all the characters like candle stick and them are fighting the villians, hilarious. Thx, Ms. Kaaa

    Wonderfully Great Misleading Purchase!

    The movie is in great and new condition like stated, however, the movie isn't completely brand new. The Disney Movie Rewards code was missing. I had to contact Disney Movie Rewards to see why, and they stated the movie wasn't new and that the code was used, so the movie had been opened beforehand and then resealed.

    Pirated But Decent

    The package does come "new" and sealed, but you can tell it is a pirated copy. However, I did like the quality of the copy. It was clear. Given, I had been looking for this DVD but only found it being sold at astronomical prices (for a NEW DVD copy); this copy was reasonably priced and visually, comparable to the original VHS of Beauty and the Beast.

    blu-ray

    I LOVE this movie!! I bought it on VHS and thought I was in heaven after the 1st time I watched. Then I upgraded to DVD and was blown away with the picture. Now I have it in blu-ray and I'm speechless over the quality. The price was great, the quality and all the extras you get incredible and I (repeating myself) love, love, love this movie.
