Pontoon boat rocks now!
I installed this stereo in my pontoon boat! It is connected to 4 New Kicker 41KM654LCW 6.5" Speakers. This unit replaced an older Fusion 4 x 50 W unit. I did not want to add an additional amp and was looking for a better way to get better sound. This fit the bill perfectly! The sound is loud and clear without distortion! The bass from the speakers is great too! The blue tooth feature is awesome ! The unit syncs to my Iphone as soon as the power is turned on to the unit. I downloaded the Sony Music Center App on my phone and can easily control the unit right from phone. Even the volume can be controlled by my phone. This is nice if we are hanging around our patio on the waterfront and want to listen to music. I can control the unit from my phone while my boat is docked 30 feet away. No more getting back in the boat to change a setting or song while we are on the patio! Full featured and powerful
I was looking for an upgrade for my Cobalt 250 but didn't care for a gazillion watt amplifier. This unit has a decent amp built in, and after upgrading my 6 speakers as well, I found the sound volume and quality to be very good. The front panel of the unit is very nice. You can customize the colors and even use the demo mode for changing colors. The controls are clear and provide good access to all the features. Since I had a Sony previously, my remotes are compatible so I can operate the unit from the helm and the transom. The features are very comprehensive. You can of course modify the fade and balance of the 4 channels. You can custom set all of the frequencies for the channels using the digital equalizer. And there are a number of preset equalizer settings. The "Rock" setting fits just right for me. There is a separate digital subwoofer output and I connected a new Bazooka 10 inch tube to that. The bass from the tube rounds out the low frequencies very nicely. Actually I have to turn down the bass a lot because it is too much. FYI the tube I got is Bazooka MBTA10250D 10" 250W Marine Amplified Bass Tube. And the upgraded (matched) speakers are Sony Marine Series 6.5” 2-Way Speakers, 160 Watts Peak XS-MP1621. Also I was looking for a blue tooth compatibility and XM option. This unit works great on blue tooth but haven't hooked up XM yet. There is a SongPal app but I haven't really used it much. This app allows media selection features as well as controlling some of the settings on the unit. The only thing I don't like is not being able to store the settings when I shut the batteries off. Everything is reset when the batteries are turned back on again, including paired BT devices. Maybe there is a way to save the settings but I haven't seen it. If you want a want a super loud system then you will want to get an amp. In which case the built in amp on this unit is redundant. Great radio for the money. I recommend it.
Many features for diversity of sound. Not simply right, left or front & back, but a lot more. For instance: sound delay for the farthest speaker, multiple settings of the equalizer, can add more speakers, "Mega" bass, etc.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu
