The TI-83 has hit the 'sweet spot'
The TI-83 (and its faster version, the TI-84) came out in 1996. This is one of the original TI-83's. And, Texas Instruments has hit the 'sweet spot' with this calculator. It has never been seriously improved by any of TI's newer models. The calculator arrived with corroded batteries and battery acid all over the battery compartment. It was for my granddaughter, so she is who opened it and got battery acid all over her hands. She cleaned it out as best as she could, and took it to school to use in her math class.
