America might still be a British colony, if not for Culper's Ring
This is the third season of AMC's Washington's Spies. The acting and casting is incredible. You will hate Captain Simcoe vehemently, and love General Washington like he was your Guardian Angel! This stuff is 99% historical, including the heroic roles of Anna Strong (Heather Lind) and Abigail (Idara Victor). Stunning. Addicting
Turn is an addicting series. We were able to watch the first two series on Netflix but season 3 was only available by sale. Season 4 will begin in June so they really "catch" you if you want to watch it. I highly recommend the series and season 3 is the best so far. America is divided TODAY.
Good history lesson. At least our country back in this time frame tried and succeeded to push our nation forward to a great country. Excellent learning lessons for students from middle school to my age in my 60's. I actually knew these things (of course not all) but am refreshing my memory to remember how good we really have in America. We need to protect our country better. We used to do that! Great series! Turn- would you survive?
I have never been accused of being a history buff, but love to learn from movies. When I found out this drama is based off of correspondence Washington kept, so it is steeped in facts, I was intrigued! I can imagine (since watching Turn) what a struggle it must have been at that time to have to choose - loyalist or revolutionary; stay & fight or escape to more peaceful areas. And in choosing, & letting others know of that choice, you became your neighbor's mortal enemy! Turn to “TURN Washington’s Spies” for a healthy dose of history and entertainment.
Loving history as I do and living next door to Setauket, I have enjoyed every second of this series. The production values are excellent, as is the writing and the acting of that writing. Historical Reality

Historical Drama Based on Fact
