Lovely throwback to a kinder, gentler era...
I wasn't around yet when ANNETTE originally aired in the spring of 1958 on the final season of the original Mickey Mouse Club (MMC), but this DVD set kinda makes me wish I had been. Watching this — and the other MMC serials that have previously been released on DVD, like SPIN & MARTY and THE HARDY BOYS — takes me back to a simpler, gentler time. I don't know if kids today would find these old serials engaging or not, since they're filmed in B&W and move at a little slower pace than most of today's quick-cut editing, but THIS overgrown kid can't get enough of the old MMC serials. It would be nice if Disney ever released more of them (beyond the ones mentioned above), but I won't hold my breath. Anyway, if you generally like this kind of retro television, you'd probably also find ANNETTE very enjoyable!

I was so excited to finally purchase this wonderful set. All fans of Annette Funicello will really Love this DVD Set. It has all the fun shows I remember from when I was Young and the Bonus Features Touch your heart. Especially the Annette Interview. What a Wonderful way to once more enjoy time with Annette.

I LOVED WATCHING IT. MAYBE YOU COULD BRING ALL THE SERIES OF OTHER DVD'S. HOW MUCH ARE YOU SELLING IT FOR JUNE 24?
I HAVE THIS AND IT IS A GREAT DVD TO WATCH. I MISS THESE SHOWS.
