I enjoyed this feature and particularly the "extras" and interviews with Prine and Wells.
Director Charles B. Pierce never became a John Carpenter or a Sam Raimi. But in "Town That Dreaded Sundown" he created a decent amount of early '70's suspense without relying on too much gore. Ben Johnson, Andrew Prine, Dawn Wells (of Gilligan Island fame) comprise the veteran cast of this low budget feature.

Classic Horror Must!
The original Town That Dreaded Sundown is incomparable to it's remake, let alone many of the other slasher/horror films of its time. Based on the Texarkana Moonlight Murders, a serial killer brutally stalks and murders young teens at lover hideaways. The music, as well as a light sense of humor and great cinematography give The Town That Dreaded Sundown a different feel from other horror films, but it will still scare the crap out of you, especially in the scene when we see the killer for the first time. The Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack includes an audio commentary, interviews, theatrical trailer, essay, gallery and another feature length film, "The Evictors".

Love this movie!
I love this movie & was so happy to get this new & at a good price! It also includes the bonus feature The Evictors that I wanted as well, so I was very happy! This movie is loosely based on a true story.

you had better watch out
this is a true story . they never caught the guy. maybe he's dead by now it creeped me out. it is one of my favorites
