The best image for your buck.
This is a great value for anyone interested in sharp images. While there are drawbacks to using an M42 lens mount and adapter on a modern DSLR, this lens absolutely rocks in the image quality department. Granted the lens is "slower" at f4.0. I will also give you the point that the M42 mount makes it more of a manual exercise when capturing an image. However, the results are amazing. This lens is crisp, contrasty, and provides even exposure from corner to corner.
