Product Information

All Neal Page (Steve Martin) wants to do is make it home from a business trip in New York City and spend Thanksgiving with his family in Chicago. Instead, he finds himself rerouted from New York's La Guardia Airport to Wichita, Kansas. With no other options, Neal decides to share a room in a fleabag hotel with Del Griffith (John Candy), a shower-curtain-ring salesman and fellow stranded traveler. Although Neal finds Del to be a buffoon, he just can't seem to get away from him. To make matters worse, all their efforts to get back to Chicago fail as trains break down and rental cars catch on fire. Along the way they encounter crazy cabbies, redneck truck drivers, and oversexed bus passengers. John Hughes's (SIXTEEN CANDLES, THE BREAKFAST CLUB) first film to feature adults after his success with teen films features fine performances from Martin and Candy. Kevin Bacon, who appeared in Hughes's next film, SHE'S HAVING A BABY, makes a small but humorous appearance, as does Edie McClurg, known for her role as the high school secretary in FERRIS BUELLER'S DAY OFF.

Candy Had Some Great Acting Chops
This is a very funny, heartwarming, family film. Steve Martin And John Candy feed off of each other so well and play great polar opposites stuck together in trying situations. But the highlight for me was John Candy. He portrayed his character so well, with heart, body language, facial features, delivery and commitment. You laugh with him and can’t help but love his character no matter how annoying he gets. Your heart breaks with his final revelation but the movie and his character bounce right back again. I highly recommend this movie.

The title says it all...!! 'Lol'...
The movie is just a laugh a minute from beginning to end..!! All of the actors play off of each other so well that it seems like a real life daily scenario..!! Steve Martin and John Candy have such a natural mesh..!! Once you watch it for the 1st time,,, you'll find yourself wanting to watch it again and again..!! Very Awesome movie.. "Winner, Winner"...!!

Lots of Comedy and wit!
Very good acting and keeps you interested. The story is just entertaining and fun to watch.

Great classic with 2 of the funniest people to ever live. We all miss John Candy and can watch this movie every time we do to make us laugh

Best movie ever
This is my all time favorite comedy movie. Two comic geniuses at the top of their game and a heartwarming story of a friendship being forged out of hilarious circumstances.

This movie is hilarious and heartwarming. It is a comedy worth watching. We give it 5 stars and two thumbs up
