Very helpful device
Caveat: I'm new to using a GPS. We went from VT to Montreal last weekend. Thank heavens for this device. (a) the big highways coming into town have lots of confusing signs & exits, and our French isn't very good. The Garmin gave us plenty of warnings AND graphics about what was coming up The Garmin got us there - and, in spite of the perpetual summer construction, to our lodging downtown. It would be nice if we could switch to km/hr., but I didn't see that as a feature. It can be difficult to program in an exact location - for instance, I found I had to use "Rd" instead of "Road" or "Rd." Best to have an exact address programmed in well before you leave on a trip. One problem:when I plug the Garmin in to charge it, using a USB adaptor in an electrical outlet, the Garmin complains that I'm not using the original cable, & that I should use the one that came with the device. I haven't had a chance to contact Garmin about that yet. The device seems to charge anyway.
