Good battery needs and better case
The 5 amp battery is a good one to use in circular saws, sawsalls, angle grinders. These tools need the larger amp battery. One thing that dewalt batteries lack is a rubber base to help protect them if the tool is dropped! I have cracked the plastic case on a few of them. I believe Milwaukee makes a much better protected battery case. Other than that the battery's perform well.

NEW 2PCS Dewalt DCB205-2 20V 5.0Ah MAX XR Li-ion Power Tool Battery
I received the Dewalt 20V 5-amp (2x) batteries on time and I utilized them the next day, and first noticed they arrived fully charged which is impressive considering perhaps these were sitting in a warehouse for quite some time. I utilized both to try them on a compatible 8-inch air Fan at medium speed, and each of them run the Fan for many hours before requiring a recharge. These are really great batteries.

Dewalt needs no talking up!
The best cordless tools on the planet, bar none. All they need is a good battery, and there is NO substitutes. Some brands my use knockoffs well, that's just because they weren't that good to start. Dewalt s are top of the line batteries , charge regulators, over amp circuits, over and interchange circuits.

A great product.
Everything was as new. The batteries had the original 2020 date stamp from the factory and were fully functional on arrival. After a full recharge I was able to use them on a job. I am very happy with the purchase.

Wish I had invented this little tool!
There is only one drawback to these adapters, they are sometimes difficult to remove from my 18 volt tools I'm using the on. I don't have to buy all new 18 volt tools. This little bugger works like a champ and my investment for this and a couple batteries is nothing compared to having to replace my six 18 volt tools that are still in excellent condition. I only wish I had thought of it.

Power drop
I’m experiencing a power drop when I use these batteries with a 20v max xr tool. It is becoming more consistent/insistent. Also, the battery lights go from left to right and every battery I’ve seen goes from right to left(the three lights signifying power remaining )

Get your dewalt!!
These, dewalt 5 amp batteries are just amazing. They are a great value at a great price. And the quality that dewalt has always stand by is know all over the world. Highly recommended!! 5 stars.

DeWalt DCB205-20V Li-Ion 5 Ah-Battery
I have been on the DeWalt Platform for many years, DeWalt has served me well in many of their products, But for me, I think DeWalt is messing up in marketing in my point of view. I have used their 18 Volt line-up going on 15 + Years. You didn't have X - Amp-Hr Batteries, you had 18 volt and 12 volt. Now Givin they were a little heavy, There were and still are rock-solid unit's. I don't know if DeWalt is trying to keep up with other competitors with the number of this and that's of almost the same product or products. I was thought from a young age if it wasn't broke don't fix it. I look at it this way. Build the Best product's in one line and not have so many different lines of the same product. Keep the 20 Volt XR and make the 12 volt an XR Line, and that's that. I do Like the Li-ion Batteries because of their lightness in weight & ampacity. Though come on DeWalt can you please make every kit you have on the market contain 2 Batteries as you did with your 18/12 volt line some years ago. and still, keep the prices about the same for the products.

Decent Buy - Poor Pacaging
These Dewalt 20v 5ah batteries are well priced and have performed well after 2 weeks of intermittent use. They were shipped in s low grade carton with Tyvek shipping bag on the exterior. One of the batteries had visible deformation on its exterior, but has held a charge and worked thus far. Questionable how it will hold up for the long term. This is the reason for 3 stars.

Great battery, great price.
Authentic Dewalt batteries. With the 5 amp hour size, I can run an impact driver or drill literally all day on one battery. The weight isn't bad. It actually helps balance the tool better. The larger size is noticeable when using smaller tools, but doesn't hamper use at all. I'm very happy with the product and price.
