Excellent, HARD, to FIND,older Western
Great old Western movie, Top of the line, in actual events, Excellent, acting, in relating, Actual FACTS, to base, the production, of this Wonderful, older movie! l Highly, Recommend, this Hard, to find, Classic, Western, movie making! :-)

Authentic.
Years ago I read two books based on diaries, journals, letters and newspaper accounts of crossing the US in the 1800's. This movie is not based on a specific occurrence but does accurately reflect what women went through. There were advertisements for women who wanted to be wives for men they had never met. Men who had moved West with cattle and horses and now wanted to "settle down". Very entertaining.

I love this movie, I have been looking for it on steaming but all of the Apps said this movie is not available. I was so glad would I found it on eBay

The way it was
This has been one of my favorite movies for over 20 years. It depicts the pioneer experience with more realism than most movies of that era and a subject matter I’ve not seen before. Highly recommend.

Westward the Women
Saw this when I was a teenager and loved it. Not your typical western, because it’s the Women who star, front and center, in this film. And that’s what makes this movie stand out above the others. Gives a good idea of what it may have been like on a wagon train going west to California. Robert Taylor gives one of his best performances. Hope Emerson is her usual excellent self, and not to be overlooked, as are all the strong women in this movie.

I’m a stand for size the fact that if you are going to purchase a DVD please do it within the allotted time for the warranty we have never had a DVD that has been faulty but we kept this DVD too long before we watched it and it skipped through out even though it was brand-new but it is our fault no one else’s but just a warning for all others in the future please watch your DVD during the grace period for returning Faulty product

Disappointed
I watched this movie when I was a kid and it made a huge impression on me. But this DVD got to a very pivotal part and started to skip and be pixelated. My purchase was refunded after returning to DVD but I still am wanting to watch the whole movie!!

Westerns are the best!!!!
I was born in 1948, but I remember this movie and have tried to watch it during the years. It is so exciting and romance between Robert taylor and Denise Darcel is right on spot. This movie shows how it really was back in the days when women tried to cross the deserts and prairies of the West. These were tough women and I respect them for all the hardships they went through.

Westward the Women is about brave determined women who would be considered hero's by today' standards!
Great Movie stands the test of time! Saw it as a child 70 years ago. Everyone has been raving about the "1883" series and I remembered this movie and told friends and family "Westward the Women" had everything this series has.
