Outrageous!
Nostalgia is a thing, and it certainly is a factor, but I only watched a couple episodes back when they aired. More of a Transformers guy. Watching Jem now is delightful for entirely different reasons--the goofy 80s plots, the Misfits' zero impulse control, and Jem and her sisters are sweet and earnest. The animation is typical Sunbow crank-it-out jank most of the time, but the art direction of the characters is surprisingly varied and interesting. The format of blending music mini-videos into the narrative is clever, and while the songs may not be particularly well-crafted, they move the story forward, and I catch myself humming them from time to time. If you watch these on your desktop/laptop, make sure to find your player's "de-interlace" setting and turn it on, or there will be huge black scanlines mucking up the picture. Once I did that, the picture looked great on my monitor. The colors of the show play nicely with software that adjusts the levels and color temp of your screen, too. The case for this edition of the series is more solid than I expected, and while the inside lacks bells and whistles, the DVD trays staggered and strong enough that I don't worry I'll break the little tabs that the DVDs hold onto. The DVDs are...DVDs, though it may be worth mentioning that they aren't cheap rips, and the play surfaces of mine are pristine because the case trays are slightly dished. I don't have any other editions of the series to compare it to (why would I?), so I can't say how well it fares against them, but I like this one well enough that I'm actually considering building a DVD shelf. That's saying something.

Love this Iconic Series!
I watched Jem on Netflix and was disappointed when it left. I knew I had to own it. I heard there were 3 versions of this series and the one I wanted was the one that had the original cast interviews. However, that one comes and goes so quickly on Amazon. I looked at EBay and I got the series with no special features and except for 1-2 seconds missing from a scene or two that only I would notice (yes, I’m a Jemologist lol and I do notice that certain scenes got cut a few seconds of length) I am still happy with the dvd set because it’s in great condition and was complete. Maybe one day I will consider buying the set with special features but this will satisfy my Jem-lust for now!

Jem and the Holograms dvd review
I absolutely love nostalgia, and watching this brought back a lot of good memories of my childhood. Everyone from the main characters to the supporting characters and villains were included in this, and all the bands’ songs are featured as well. Personally, my favorite songs were by either the Misfits or The Stingers. So I recommend grabbing yourself a bowl of cereal or some buttered popcorn and watch these episodes. Relive your childhood, people!

Incredible buy!
Shipping was fast! Product was exactly as pictured. Amazing value for the price! Case was damaged upon arrival, but DVD's were fine, so I'm not faulting the shipper but perhaps if better packaging was used during the shipping/packaging process, it might've arrived undamaged. This shipper is highly recommended!

Truly Outrageous!
This is a 5-star product! I love all 3 seasons and 65 episodes. This set is “Truly Outrageous” because all of the episodes are engaging, hilarious, and sensitive when they need to be. I wasn’t born in the 80’s, but seeing the animation and hearing the lingo makes me feel like I’m a part of the times. I loved this set and I’m sure you will too. -DD

My childhood!
I remember watching this with my sisters when I was smaller and loving it!! Especially the music I loved the Holograms, The Stingers and the Misfits I loved how each of them had their own personalities and at times don't get along with each other. I love the animation....its so retro and the dialog is so true to life. This box set is the bomb!! It has all the episodes!!!

Great Animated Show
This product contains all the episodes from the show. It is perfect for all females from all ages since it's very entertaining. There is about three songs in every episode and it centers into the theme of girl power. Overall, it's worth buying it.

Childhood good times
I'm well into my 40's and I am still a Jem and the Holograms fan. Now I get to enjoy it all over again with not only my young adult daughter but with my 12 year old as well.

Jem is Jem after all this time...
Loved this series, I only had the first season now I've got the complete series and I couldn't be happier.. thanks for all the great nostalgic memories!!!

Package came broken but product still great!
The case was broken, but the DVDs were fine. I love watching the show. It is truly outrageous.
