Great Recording. Better Sounding than Previous recordings!
Every Good Boy Deserves Favor has always been an outstanding sample of the Moody Blues work. The only problem has been the records at the time of it's original release had an extreme amount of surface noise. The early CDs were very compressed and higher end stereos could pick up on some aggravating distortion on several key cuts. This Hybrid SACD remastered from the old Quadraphonic recordings solves much of the old problems. It has much improved overall sound over the earlier releases.(Quadraphonic sound was a four channel rather than two channel sound that never became popular in the 1970's. The only ''Quad" recordings made were of albums that were thought to really benefit from the expanded soundstage) EGBDF as an musical effort is excellent. It has always been a staple of music from the early 1970's and always been considered on of the Moody Blues very best efforts. The Moody's are still performing today fifty years later and still perform tracks from this album/CD. I recommend this version to any Moody Blues fan or any high end audio enthusiast.
