Synopsis
A masterpiece ahead of its time, a prescient rendering of a dark future, and the inspiration for the blockbuster film Blade Runner By 2021, the World War has killed millions, driving entire species into extinction and sending mankind off-planet. Those who remain covet any living creature, and for people who can't afford one, companies built incredibly realistic simulacra: horses, birds, cats, sheep. They've even built humans. Immigrants to Mars receive androids so sophisticated they are indistinguishable from true men or women. Fearful of the havoc these artificial humans can wreak, the government bans them from Earth. Driven into hiding, unauthorized androids live among human beings, undetected. Rick Deckard, an officially sanctioned bounty hunter, is commissioned to find rogue androids and "retire" them. But when cornered, androids fight back--with lethal force. Praise for Philip K. Thanks 2 This Seller 4 Delivering An Item Exactly As It Was Pictured, & Described 2 B N. I Was Concerned At 1st, When Finding The Package N My Mail Box, As I Heard It Rattle, So, Not 2 Agrivate It Any Further, I Was Very Careful Upon Opening It, As I Found That The DVD Was Loose, & Not On The Hub Within The DVD Case. From My Past Xperiences, This Is Usually A Bad Sign, As The DVD's R Usually Scratched, But Luckily, This 1 Still Arrived N Xcellent Cond. I Highly Recommend This 'Saved' Seller! 👍

Shipping: Shipped the day of the sale; arrived in 5 days in my city, but then the post office sent my package to Colorado. It took another 10 days to get delivered. Packaging: as expected As described: described as NEW. The books do look NEW until you at the page edges which are tanned to almost yellow. Books were probably never read, but they probably sat in sunlight for a long time. Value: Despite yellow-tan page edges, these books were a great value.

  • Book was far more worn than I expected, but still fairly priced. Should have been listed as acceptable rather than good.

  • Still hav not.finished...

A year in, and I'm still trying to finish this novel, mostly out of guilt. It was recommended to me by a trusted source, otherwise I have never personally been drawn to the flat writing style of P.K.Dick. Not recommended for those new to his writing or sci-fi in general.

  • Book had writing in it but this was expected and described. Just don’t anticipate a perfect book.

  • Not "like new"

It was shipped securely but it should not have been marked "like new" if there is highlighting and writing in it...would have just bought a new one if i knew so i could have been able to gift it like I wanted

    Bestätigter Kauf: JaZustand: Gebraucht
