I'm an Elixir convert
I've used D'addario EXP 11's forever, because I prefer a bright, ringing sound, but they've been discontinued and I'm far from impressed at their replacement spec. I've often wondered about Elixirs but never fancied parting with the cash on a 'what if' basis. No alternative this time, so I took the plunge. Ok product, old stock, slow delivery.
Elixir strings are great. The postage was alot slower than expected and the strings were in 3 seperate elixir boxes. Not the 3 pack as seen on advert. Best guitar strings on the market
These strings are superb to play, sound a hundred times better than most strings priced between £6 and £10. They last 10 times as long as the average string and keep the quality until the string begins to wear which make their value outstanding. Slippery n next to no resistance. It's ok if you like that. I hate the sound. The strings are lighter than I expected them to be. I can't justify the price. It's just a gimmick decieving you into believing you'll save money cos they'll last so much longer than uncoated ones. High quality strings
I wanted to get the same strings that came in my Furch so I got them. The only difference was the colour. Despite saying bronze in the name, the strings looked a brass colour. The strings are very good and suit an acoustic well.
