Product Information

An all-star television adaptation of the Jules Verne novel, set in the late 19th Century. An Englishman named Phileas Fogg makes a bet that, using all the modern forms of transportation, he can travel around the world in 80 days. He and his sidekick begin their voyage in a hot-air balloon, and make their way through Europe and on to India, where they save a widow from committing suttee (killing herself in her husband's funeral pyre). Then they travel by train in America and by ship across the Pacific. Phileas and his companion finally complete the loop, but he believes they have arrived just a little too late to win their bet.

AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS (1989 VERSION TV)
WATCHABLE BUT VERY BAD PICTURE =RECORDED FROM 1989 TV SHOW LOW QUALITY FOR SURE NOT LIKE THE 50S VERSION. I EVEN LIKED THE JACKIE CHAN VERSION BETTER . VERY SLOW GOING AND MOVIE WAS 4 AND A HALF HOURS LONG ONLY THING I LIKED WAS BROSNAN AND PETER USTINOV(TOTALLY LOVE PETER) HE MADE THE MOVIE FUNNY. WOULD NOT WATCH A SECOND TIME UPDATING REVIEW THERE ARE THREE VERSIONS OF 1989 TV SERIES THIS ONE PICTURED IS THE WORST TRANSFER THE OTHER TWO ARE BETTER PICTURES CHECK REVIEW THAT COMPARES THE THREE VERVIONS

TERRIBLE VIDEO QUALITY!
We couldn't watch the movie "AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS", starring Pierce Brosnan, because the video quality is awful!!! The colors are very washed out, and the picture is fuzzy! I wish I hadn't made this purchase!
